Hello! What’s your name?

My name is Alice Nehme otherwise known as Ally.

What do you write and why?

I write self help books because I have had extensive personal experience in dealing with the psychology of the mind and in successfully helping people with serious problems.

Do you read the same genre that you write? Why or why not?

I tend to read true stories and mostly articles about addiction.

What is the title you are promoting right now?

I am promoting,  “ A Testimonial of Insanity

What is it about?

It is a true story of a young man battling a severe 15-year drug addiction/prostitution and the lack of social development because of the constant absence from society due to drugs.

What makes this book different from others in your genre?

The best way to describe it would be to share a testimonial with you regarding the book.

“The first time I spoke with Ally, I felt an instant connection. The pureness of her heart shone through her words as she spoke of seeking help for her friend. As a Rehab Placement Specialist, I knew immediately that Ally possessed what it takes to help, not by enabling, but by being there and offering love and support, which is what every addict needs. She had her boundaries set, and the strength to stand by them. In a perfect world everyone with a loved one suffering addiction would have the knowledge and understanding that exudes from Ally’s soul.

I am going to be promoting this book, A Testimonial of Insanity, to every rehabilitation center I have in my database. I do this with respect and my belief that this book will touch the lives of everyone that has the privilege of reading it.

Thank you Ally, it is a blessing to have such a gifted author’s work out there for everyone to read.”

Brenda Herzog
Addiction rehab placement specialist

What’s the story behind the story?

I have always been told that I have a gift. This gift is being able to unconditionally listen without judgment and allow the individual to open up and find solutions.

What is your goal as an author?

My goal as an author is to educate people to be in the now and be able to lend a hand where they can.

Are you working on anything new? Give us a preview of what’s to come!

Being a resident of Canada, I am presently translating “A Testimonial of Insanity” in French. The majority of the rehab centers in Montreal, Quebec are French therefore we want to reach all audiences with this message of hope.

The French book title is “Fuir la Demence”

Who is your favorite author and what is your favorite book?

Hard to say who my favorite author is. I guess if I had to pick an author who impacted me I would say probably Eckhart Tolle. All of his books are great but I specifically loved “A New Earth

Where can readers find you and your work?

My website is or

Barnes and noble

What’s your view on the self-publishing/traditional publishing thing? Ideally, which one would you prefer and why?

I think there are advantages to both.

Self publishing is a way someone can affordably get his work out into the market where he may not have otherwise been able to because of the lack of financing etc…

Traditional publishing is also good if you get your work endorsed by the right people who can bring it into the market place the way you would like it to be.

Do you have a favorite quote?

“Life is about making memories that inspire you and the one’s around you”

What is the most important advice you have for aspiring authors?

Follow your heart. If you have a message to share that can improve the quality of lives then share it. Don’t be afraid to write something. Believe you can do it, because you can.

Is there anything else you’d like to say before we finish up?

I would like to thank you for taking the time to help me share my vision with the world in hopes of offering this book to everyone and anyone suffering from addiction whether it be themselves or someone they know.

Awesome, thanks for allowing me to interview you!
